Chapter Nineteen: Portraits
(Mid-chapter)
Reilly nodded and waited while the next Deceptor and
prisoner stepped into place. As before, Sorcha looked into the fire and then faced
the statuesque figures in front of her and began to paint. When she finished,
she methodically placed the painting on another ledge of the arch, and the
chanting began.
